North Edinburgh Arts offers local residents a place to relax, explore, learn, meet, share, volunteer and have fun in. Over 17 hours of creative workshops are on offer each week, most with a family focus, alongside a wide range of other events from singing groups, to dance shows, circus skills workshops, community theatre to film clubs.
Incorporating a community garden and a community cafe.
The venue is also home to Licketyspit Theatre Company and Muirhouse Youth Development Group, both reaching out to the most disadvantaged children and families in the area.

Granton Library is a friendly community library where all are welcome. There are lots of activities for all ages (for example, a Bookbug group for small children, a knitting group, and a homework club.. amongst other things) as well as a good selection of books. The staff are very friendly.

Supporting Fair Trade with Palestine:
"Hadeel is a Fair Trade shop which aims to provide a sustainable source of income for craftspeople working with social enterprises in the West Bank, Gaza, as well as one in the Galilee and another in the Negev. Our work also helps to sustain infrastructures, as many of the producer groups also provide health, education and emergency services in their communities which lack any form of local government which might do this."
"PEEP (Parents Early Education Partnership) groups are held in venues across the city. They are open to families with children aged 0 to 5. Bring your child to a PEEP session to take part in learning actvities such as singing, story and rhyme time. The groups also offer advice about learning and you can borrow play resources."
"Using a model of holistic support, DASS assists refused asylum seekers who are ARE (Appeal Rights Exhausted) and NRPF (with no recourse to public funds) to find a route out of destitution and resolve their situation."

Charity that provides grants to asylum claimants and refugees living in Scotland. Grants made by RST either alleviate poverty and destitution, or help refugees and asylum claimants to overcome obstacles in accessing educational and employment opportunities.
